Martock & District U3A would like to let everyone know that they are still here and welcoming new members and it is a good time to join the groups and get to know new people and enjoy new things. Several groups are meeting regularly including Gardening, Paper Crafting, German, Ukelele, Philosophy, French, Recorder Cycling with more groups reconvening either socially distanced outside or on line. If you would like to join in, do get in touch. In addition members are having virtual coffee mornings and a special Facebook group Martock U3A Keeping in Touch has been set up to share news, amusing anecdotes and so that members can seek support.

While we try to continue to provide services to support our taxpayers, especially our most vulnerable people, we also have to collect our income from those that can afford it. Important Parish Information


During the current health emergency, services and activities in the community have had to be curtailed. This does not mean that parishioners are without information, help and support.

The Parish Council Services Team are currently supporting those who are self-isolating with the following requests:

Essential food shopping

Medication collection

Support phone calls

PLEASE NOTE: that with immediate effect 27th July to 28th August the Services Team are working at a reduced capacity due to staff leave and that during this time there will be just one or possibly two members of staff available from Monday to Thursday only.

We ask that until staffing levels return to full capacity that you are patient with us, it is important to remember that we will always do our best to help you.

Stay Alert

We can all help control the virus if we all stay alert. This means you must:

•             Stay at home as much as possible

•             Work from home if you can

•             Limit contact with other people

•             Keep your distance if you go out (2 metres apart where possible)

•             Wash your hands regularly

Self-isolate if you or anyone in your household has symptoms.

If these rules are not followed then police have the powers to enforce them, including through fines and dispersing gatherings.
