The Musical Director is now Jim Bennett. He studied trumpet at the RCM and has played in 3 Symphony orchestras and as a soloist with another. He also leads the Sherborne Youth Band and Gillingham Silver Band and teaches music at Bedford School and several others in Somerset. He also plays jazz in his own group, with residencies at London venues and plays with three local jazz bands.

The band will play pieces by Sousa, Holst, Shostakovich and Irving Berlin as well as tributes to Ennio Morricone, John Williams and Queen’s “Greatest Hits” plus extracts from “My Fair Lady”, a programme of something for everyone and sure to be a memorable occasion.
