Bower Hinton Farm
Bower Hinton Farm was built at the southernmost and highest point in Martock. The roof of this medieval farmhouse is supported by late 13th century crucks, and much of the original structure is still intact, including timber beams and inglenooks.
The farmhouse has been owned and lived in by the Palmer family for many generations.
Graham Gilmour, the pioneer airman and a friend of Captain Arthur Palmer, stored his Bristol Box-kite aircraft at the farm in 1911/12, on the occasions of the Martock Flower Shows.
Bower Hinton Farm is still a working farm, with a well-stocked farm shop on site. Open 10-6pm in Summer and 10-5pm in Winter.
