Treasurer's House

The Treasurer's House is the oldest inhabited house in Somerset, with the exception of the Bishop's Palace in Wells. It is mentioned in texts from 1221.

The Great Hall was completed in 1293 and there is an even earlier Solar Block with an interesting wall painting.

It is Grade I listed and is now owned by the National Trust and tenanted.
Opening Times:  Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday 2pm-5pm  in March to September.
