COVID ESSENTIAL SERVICE PROVISION

NOW HAS A NEW TELEPHONE NUMBER

01935 310040

During the pandemic the Services Team along with volunteers will be providing essential services to those individuals that meet the criteria for support. If you are in quarantine, vulnerable or at risk and cannot access support via a family member, a friend or a neighbour you may be eligible for the following support:

  • Medication collection
  • Essential food shopping
  • Food parcels
  • Signposting to other services
For the following services please call 01935 310040 between Monday and Friday and leave a message. A member of the team will call you back to provide support with the following:

MEDICATION COLLECTION
Medication collection/delivery days will be on a Tuesday and Friday only.

ESSENTIAL FOOD SHOPPING
Shopping will be delivered to you on a Monday or a Thursday. Essential food shopping will be limited to essential items only, please check when telephoning.

FOOD PARCELS
Food parcels will be provided to those who do not have the financial means. Collection of food parcels by the recipient will be required on the day of collection unless otherwise agreed. This will usually be on a Friday through the Transforming Lives Foodbank. Requests will need to be made by midday on the Wednesday.

SIGNPOSTING TO OTHER SERVICES
If you are uncertain as to where to go for help, then one of the team will try and provide details to you of the other organisations and support services.

PLEASE REMEMBER OUR VOLUNTEERS

We are very grateful to the volunteers who are supporting the Services team,  in ensuring that help can be given at this uncertain time. However, this involves an element of risk to them, so please ask for their help only if you have no other means of support

Martock Parish Council reserve the right to withdraw or revise the service going forward.

•             Work from home if you can

•             Limit contact with other people

•             Keep your distance if you go out (2 metres apart where possible)

•             Wash your hands regularly

Self-isolate if you or anyone in your household has symptoms.

Read more about what you can and cannot do on the gov.uk website.

If these rules are not followed then police have the powers to enforce them, including through fines and dispersing gatherings.
